Recruiting Registered Nurses

Superior Healthcare provides specialist nurse-led care in the community – to children, young people, and adults who live with ongoing life-limiting and potentially unpredictable conditions.

Our nurses can work full-time or part-time as part of our complex care to provide a nurse-led service, which delivers over 650,000 hours of community home care each year.

What does a complex care Nurse do?

As a Registered Nurse, no two days are the same–your role extends far beyond routine clinical tasks. You’ll work closely with clients, their families, and healthcare teams to provide personalised care that supports clients’ health and enhances their quality of life.

You can choose to work with just one client or a handful of individuals each week, allowing you to build strong, meaningful connections and provide person-centered care. This flexibility also give you the time and focus needed to make a real difference in each client’s life.

Extensive training

As a new member of our nursing team, you’ll begin with specialist training provided by our clinical educators. Your onboarding starts with a two-day induction, covering all aspects of complex care. This is a great opportunity to refresh your skills and meet the other registered nurses and healthcare assistants your team.

After your induction, you’ll have access to our free online training, which is continuously updated by our in-house clinical experts to keep up with industry developments. This training is an ongoing resource you can use at any time. You can also book yourself into our paid, in-person training sessions, covering topics such as tracheostomy care, airway management, or enteral feeding.

Choose from our CPD-accredited courses to support your nurse revalidation, with feedback and reflections available from our nurse managers. Additionally, our dedicated coordinators and training team will arrange regular and paid in-person training in areas like cough assist and spinal and brain injury training.

For us, it's personal

Superior Healthcare was founded in 2006 by Stewart Thorp, his father Charles, and Sarah Richards after Stewart’s brother, Alex, sustained a traumatic brain injury and required 24-hour care.

When trying to organise at-home, 24-hour care for Alex, Stewart saw the need for a specialist provider that could fit into family life and continue Alex’s rehabilitation.

Superior Healthcare was formed to address this need. Since then, we have been providing support to individuals living with complex care needs.
